Okay…..I had to totally steal Emily’s photo idea…I am now 28 weeks! 10 more weeks to go!
Happy Thursday and Go embrace the Camera…..
featuring unique and handmade items to make the world a brighter place
So, I have finally reached the 28 weeks mark! I’m so excited! I went for my ultrasound today and they are both head down! I’m so excited……maybe I’ll get to have a natural labor after all! The little boy is 2 pounds, 12 ounces and the little girl is 2 pounds 10 ounces! The little girl (on the left looking out) seems to be the trouble maker…she is always flip flopping around and wiggling. The boy (on the right looking inward) seems to stay put the whole time. I just hope they stay the way they are for the next two months!!
This photo was actually inspired by SouleMama……I love her blog and all her wonderful sweet pictures. When I saw this photo..I just knew I wanted to duplicate it for myself…..
Happy Thursday..and go Embrace the Camera…..
Happy Thursday…I wanted to take some photos of River and I…and include my growing belly. I’m 21 weeks now and getting bigger each day! The little guys are growing steadily. River had a bit of a spill two days ago and at first she didn’t want her photo taken. She said she was a bit embarrassed…but I reassured her that she looked as beautiful as ever! Well, go embrace the camera….and enjoy….
Well……this week was the 20 week ultrasound. It was Quinn’s turn to come with me. They measured the heart, liver, kidneys, bones and a lot of other stuff. Probably the most exciting was looking at the heart and all the chambers and getting to see it working…incredible. I guess I should be speaking in the plural..since there are two little ones!! Also, they measured a lot of things in the brain……and everything was perfect!! Everything seems to be just where it should be….20 toes and 20 fingers!! Each baby is now 14 ounces and about 7 inches long!! I can’t believe I have two human beings inside of me that are each 7 inches long!!
Quinn had a great time watching the little guys on the screen..at one point, the boy started opening and closing his mouth…that was pretty cool to see!! The technician couldn’t find Baby B’s hand..the girl..she kept looking and looking…finally, the doctor came in and had to find it…there it was…..she had it behind her back……she seems like she might be the trouble maker…she didn’t cooperate for the ultrasound at all…she kept squirming around and turning her back to everyone!!
Last Wednesday, Tuesday came with me to my ultrasound appointment. It was a lot of fun to have her with me…I wish I had taken some photos of the time we spent together…..but I guess you don’t always need photos….but I do have photos from the ultrasound. Baby A is the boy…he is on my right side.
Baby B is the girl..she is on my left side…It is sort of funny knowing which baby is on which side….It is just amazing to see them moving around and so full of life….modern technology still freaks me out sometimes…..so different from the stories my mom told me about her pregnancies and births….
It was a great experience to share with Tuesday.
I’m not sure when the reality of twins will hit me….maybe not til I’m holding them in my arms….
So, yesterday was my 44th birthday……it was a wonderful day……filled with good food and awesome gifts……and spending time with family.
And it was also the day I decided to announce that I am pregnant….with twins……I’m now 14 weeks along and feeling better and better each day. It’s been a long 3 months…..filled with lots of morning sickness and sleepiness…but the excitement and joy makes it all worth it. Twins do not run in our family…as far as I know. According to the doctors..the older you are and the more pregnancies you’ve had..the greater your chance of having twins! This was the first picture I got of the little guys…when they were only 7 weeks old..they are much bigger now..as is my stomach!
I was incredibly surprised when the doctor said there were twins…but I was more overjoyed that their little hearts were beating and they were healthy!
