Guess Who?……redo……

All my children have loved the game Guess Who?  And awhile ago, I saw this, and decided I needed to try my own Guess Who? game revision.  I didn’t exactly want to do the poop version…..but just changed it up a bit.  So, I asked River what she wanted to do…and she said she wanted an insect and animal version.  So, off we went to look for 24 clipart images that she liked.

After what seemed like forever, we found all the images, printed them on card stock (3 sets), and cut them out.  Then we set out to poke out all the old cards and put in the new cards.

It took awhile and a lot of patience..but we finally finished.  River was so excited to play the new version.   There was a bit of a learning curve to use the new pictures, but we figured it out and had a lot of fun.  Now we have two sets of cards and when we get tired of the new ones..we can always switch back to the original!  Maybe we’ll even add a third set some day!

Embrace the Camera…36 weeks….

Well….I am almost done with week 36 of this pregnancy……pretty incredible.  I don’t think I would say that the time has flown…but it has gone by quicker than expected…..I think.  Sometime…way back when…in my pregnancy…..I took some photos of River and I……so I thought I would retake some….at 36 weeks.  I am scheduled to be induced in 9 days…wow…9 days….August 27th….very exciting!

I’m not sure what happened in this photo…..but it looks like it was something exciting.  After a few shots…River decided she wanted to be in charge of the clicker…….then she decided she wanted some photos of just herself…….

Anyway, go embrace the camera……with Emily…..

Embrace the Camera…..

So Tuesday took some photos of us..then Quinn took some photos of us..then River took some photos of us…..I figured there would be at least a couple of good ones…..Not too long from now…and this won’t be “all” my children……about two more weeks……(wow!)

Happy Thursday and go embrace the camera…….

Finishing up River’s side of the room….

So, River’s side of the room is pretty much finished.  I still have to paint some murals and hang up some things…but it is pretty much done.  The babies side of the room is not done….well, the painting is done…but not the murals or the furniture arrangement.  We don’t have a crib or cribs yet and I haven’t gotten the configuration down yet.  Hopefully this week all will be complete!

I am now 35 weeks along…..in 3 more weeks these little babies are going to be here!  We went out this weekend and got a stroller.  So, now we have a stroller and two car seats!  Now I just need to finish sewing all the diapers!!

Still working on River’s (and the new babies) new room……

Okay, now that all the painting is done…..it has been time to start rearranging and organizing everything.  It has been a long process, but River has been so excited about everything and it is finally getting toward the end.  I am going to “split” the room in half..using furniture..so that half the room is River’s and half the room is for the new babies.  That way, River can have a sense of her own space.  Once the babies are old enough to walk around…I’ll put up a gate so that the new little ones can’t get into River’s part of the room…but that won’t be for awhile……oh, how time will fly!!

Once I finish getting everything organized and finding a spot for everything….River and I will sit down and figure out some murals to paint on the walls…..there is nothing like a blank canvas!!

Ramune Soda…..

Finally, I got around to having Tuesday and Quinn try some Ramune soda…..I’ve been wanting them to try it forever….and Christopher found it in Chinatown in Philly.  So, this afternoon……I broke them out.

I had to go on YouTube and look at a couple of videos to see how you open them….it was a lot of fun.  River wanted to try some soda for the first time…..umm..she didn’t like it!

Still Painting…..

Well…we started painting River’s new room/Tuesday’s old room.  The room was bright red, green, yellow and blue…so, first it had to be primed….Tuesday and I spent an entire day doing two coats of primer!! That was tiring.

Then, we started painting.  River wanted a pink wall and a purple wall.  I agreed, but said the other two walls have to be “boyish” colors…..I love how it turned out…all the colors blend really well.  I finally finished painting yesterday.  Now, we just have to rearrange all the furniture and get it all set up!!  These babies better stay  put until everything is done.  Six weeks from now!!  I went to my doctor today and he said everything looks great.  One baby is 4.5 pounds and the other is 4 pounds.  He said if everything goes as planned..they should each be over 7 pounds!! Eeekkkk!!
