We finally got a little bit of snow. Not enough for sledding, but enough for slushing through. I could go for a big snow storm. Hopefully we will have one…
Nutribullet….
Last week I got a Nutribullet. My friend got one for Christmas and has been raving about it. I have wanted a juicer forever and this seemed like just the right one. So far, it is everything I hoped it would be. It is small so it doesn’t take up counter space. It seems very well made and durable. It is so easy to use…even Tuesday and Quinn use it completely on their own. And best of all, it is so simple to clean. It takes seconds. Every day I have some type of drink using all types of stuff…carrots, mango, spinach, celery, apple, chia seeds. It is wonderful. I highly recommend it!
Happy Friday….and brrrrrr…..
Happy Friday everyone. I hope everyone is warm! I know that is what we are trying to do around here! It has been so cold all week that we haven’t been outside much at all. Normally I walk River to school and the babies really enjoy the time in the stroller and I like getting the exercise…but not this week. Too cold! I am happy it is Friday…happy for the weekend and maybe some family time!! And for warmer weather. If it isn’t going to snow I don’t see the point of all the cold weather.
Tea Parties and other stuff…
Everybody is feeling a bit coldish today. Because of the weather and because of their noses. So, today was filled withnose wipes, boogies, crying, tears and smelly diapers. I don’t know why sick babies seem to have very smelly diapers! River was very happy that we were able to squeeze in a tea party. I had promised her one the day before…but things didn’t work out…so today was the day. Kitty had a lot to say and was very happy she was invited! Happy Thursday!
New Year…
Yule Lads….
The Icelandic Yule Lads have begun to appear at our house…..Everyone has been putting their shoe in the window at night, except Escher and Grey. Our rule is..if you can’t put your shoe in your window, then you don’t get to put a shoe in the window. They will probably be ready next year! I hope you’ve been good, otherwise you get a rotten potato left in your shoe. I said they should borrow some dirty diapers and put them in the bad children’s shoes!
River turned six….
Yesterday River turned six. I can’t believe it. We had a fantastic weekend with lots of parties and fun. Yesterday we got to have our “small” family party. We put up the tree and put on the lights. After dinner, we started to decorate it.
It seems like just yesterday we were bringing our new little bundle of joy home from the hospital!
They love to read…and read….and read…..
These days I’d say the babies favorite thing to do is read. They love to sit on a lap and listen to stories. Or they love to sit in a box and read stories. Or they love to sit anywhere on the floor and read…..and read…..and read. It is quite adorable. Escher’s current favorite story is Goodnight Gorilla. Grey doesn’t seem to have a favorite, though she does love What Do You Say? I love watching their little expressions when they are listening to a story or looking at a book all on their own. You can tell that they are really concentrating and examining what is going on in the pictures. It is quite adorable.
Outfits…..
River loves to pick out her outfit each day. And I like the fact that she is so independent…especially in the morning. She can get herself dressed, get her pajamas in the hamper (most days), brush her hair. It is pretty awesome how great she is at getting herself ready, so that I can get the babies ready! I love her outfits so much, that I decided to start taking a daily photo of her…here are some of my favorites….
